6. Permitting

During the permitting stage, you will take care of:
- Attending any special town meetings for conservation commissions, historical commissions, etc.
- Finding out about permit process, preparing the permit application with the Site Contractor and applying for permit.

- mkD provides multiple sets of fully engineered permit drawings for submission to your Site Contractor for submission to your permit office.
- mkD provides basic Q&A with your Site Contractor and local permit office for answering questions on the drawings set.
Required Additional Services: Depending on your jurisdiction, there may be local requirements for architectural review, design, or project management / zoning services required at this stage. If so, we set up a simple Design Agreement to outline the scope of these services.
Optional Additional Services: For clients who are interested, we charge an hourly rate for services in this stage related to expediting, project management, and more. Please contact mkD Sales if you are interested in these ancillary services as part of your purchase process.
Outside Vendor Services:
- Your Site Contractor is typically working through permitting with the local permit office.
- Some clients hire an ‘expediter’ or legal counsel at this stage to assist with various permit issues
- If clients are in a historical, environmental or design review zone, occasionally they will hire a consultant to help in this part of permitting.
