8. Final Walkthrough
Congratulations! Your home is built and all that we need to do is the final walkthrough!
During the final walkthrough, mkD will walk through your home with you, checking each detail of finish and signing off on the final walkthrough form.
During this final stage you will need to:
- Fill out a Client Feedback form letting us know how we are doing
- Check details of home with your mkD Project Manager and sign off on final walkthrough form.
- Finalize punch list of extra site work to be done with your site contractor – decks, tree cutting, grading/landscaping, driveway finish, etc.
- MOVE IN!

mkD Services
Our Included Services: We handle the “button up” work on the home itself, but not the utility connections. For a detailed overview of how we wrap up the site work, see the mkD & Site Contractor Scope of Work
Required Additional Services: Depending on your jurisdiction, there may be local requirements for architectural review, design, or project management / zoning services required at this stage. If so, we set up a simple Services Agreement to outline the scope of these services.
Optional Additional Services: For clients who are interested, we charge an hourly rate for services in this stage related to designing or managing extra site elements. Please contact mkD Sales if you are interested in these ancillary services as part of your purchase process.
Outside Vendor Services: your Site Contractor will work to finish their punchlist, in order to get you into your mkD home as soon as possible.
