Energy Efficiency
mkDesigns homes meet Energy Star® program standards for energy efficient homes and performance standards of the American Lung Association Health House program. All mkDesigns can be LEED certified, depending on the particular finishes, building systems and site design an owner chooses.
In general, we expect mkDesigns homes to be at least 50 – 60% more efficient than average homes, reducing your monthly operating costs while keeping you comfortable! We are working to produce energy models of each of our designs to measure exact energy costs for your region.
