Hard Costs for custom projects vary depending on the site, location, design, materials and systems chosen. The hard costs are typically between $400/sf to $600/sf. The architectural and structural engineering fees are typically around 15% of the overall project costs. There are additional soft costs including permit fees, surveys, landscape design, civil engineering and others.
