Healthy Environment
When designing green housing one must consider not only the impact a house will have on the environment but also the impact that house will have on the health of its inhabitants. Our homes create a clean, healthy living environment for its occupants, which we believe is essential in any home.
- Non-off-gassing materials: We only use no or low VOC primers and paints in our houses and we make sure that we use only formaldehyde-free materials.
- Air filtration: Our houses incorporate HEPA air filters and are designed for natural ventilation.
- Green insulation: We use a combination of rigid foam and ecobatt insulation partly because of its ability to fend off mold growth. Air mixture systems protect against stagnant or stale air.
- Hard Floor Surfaces: Hard floor surfaces rather than carpeting protects against allergens and molds.
