Modular
Smart Home: Home in 90 Seconds
Building your development project off-site does not mean sacrificing quality. In fact, the controlled environment possible in a factory provides higher quality control, more accuracy, and less waste during the building process. The result is a stronger structure that is better built in a lot less time than the equivalent site-built structures. Not only will each unit be built to site-built code, but each unit will be built on a truly level surface using high-quality, eco-friendly materials that have been stored in a controlled environment. Additional benefits include:
- Shortened construction timeframe
- Better inventory control
- Quicker to market
- Easier to target the intended market
- Predictable time and cost for the modular portions
- Pre-packaged green solutions
- Marketability of green solutions and high quality designs
Please note: In order to achieve the maximum benefits of mass production, repetition is key. However, because we are creating communities for different people with different lifestyles, it is critical to develop homes that are varied as well. When we design multi-unit developments, we design the core modules (those with the bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms) the same to take advantage of mass production, but then we customize the exterior finishes, and size and roof of the center, so they all appear to be different. The end result: efficiencies of mass production with varying individual units.
